To apply, you need to wait until the cap opens on 1 July next program year. This is because all places for the program year have been filled already. We will reopen a ‘paused’ cap later in the same program year to allow new applications. There are no caps for second or third Work and Holiday visas. Once you pass the DKT you can apply for your learner driver licence. You can now complete the DKT at home or wherever you can get online. Where there is high local demand, we offer in-person Certified Provisional Interpreter tests as an alternative option. All online tests are scheduled and listed in Sydney/Melbourne time (AET), you should ensure you check how your time zone aligns with the time listed.

Application cap indicators

These practice tests are run on the test platform, so you can get familiar with the system before your test day. When you book your test date, NAATI will include a link to a practice test in your test confirmation email. Candidates should be aware that organisations offering training do not have unique information about the test. NAATI sets the test and is the authority which issues the result. NAATI is aware that some organisations offer training or courses claiming to prepare people for the NAATI CCL test.

If you don’t provide enough notice to change or cancel your test, you will lose the fee you have paid and will need to pay a new fee when you re-book. We will manage visa applications for some countries through the WHM visa ballot process instead of the application cap.

Working Holiday pre-application process (ballot)

A test review means that a separate examiner will mark your test again, and the marks from all examiners will be taken into consideration to determine your final result. You will receive either a pass (63 or over, including more than 29 marks per dialogue) or fail (below 63, or less than 29 marks in one or both dialogues). Each error will result in a different number of marks being taken off, depending on how much it impacts on the overall communication. NAATI uses an online proctoring program called ProctorExam to make sure all tests are valid and are sat by the correct person.

If you’ve passed the test in DKT online, you do not need online casinos to make a booking to go to a service centre and apply for your licence. Due to the high interest in the Work and Holiday visa program in some high demand countries​​​, the department has paused application lodgement. This may happen when the cap is nearly filled or to spread out visa application lodgements throughout the program year. You will receive feedback from examiners which will help you determine your readiness for the actual test. You will need to pay the test fee when you select your test date.

• To pass the CCL test, you must achieve a score of 63 or more, and at least 29 marks in each dialogue.
• If you pass a driving test on a Saturday, you can pay with EFTPOS and get your licence on the day.

If these conditions don’t apply to you, you can take the DKT online. You can make a booking to take the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) in-person at a Service NSW Centre. Take the online test as many times as you need for the one test fee. Most of our tests are delivered online only to allow for equitable access for test candidates.
